Muscara sponsors NZ race

December 15, 2004 Send To A Friend  | Print View

Pennsylvania-based owner Joe Muscara, whose name came to national prominence when his Mach Three won the 2002 Meadowlands Pace, has agreed to sponsor the $750,000 Inter-Dominion Pacing final at Alexandra Park in New Zealand on March 18.

Muscara is considered the primary purchaser of New Zealand-bred Standardbreds exported to the United States and he also sends his stallions Down Under to be bred. Mach Three is one of the stallions he stands in New Zealand.

Muscara could also have a horse entered in the rich final as he has sent Bella's Boy, who he purchased last year from New Zealand interests and brought to the U.S., back Down Under to compete.
