Hambletonian winner Muscle Hill, fresh off an easy victory in the American National at Balmoral Park last Saturday, has been installed the 3-5 morning-line choice for this Saturday's $540,000 World Trotting Derby at the Du Quoin State Fair, leaving from post six in the nine-horse field. Trainer Greg Peck will have regular driver Brian Sears in the sulky behind the sophomore colt.
Nine horses were entered in the race, including Illinois champion Southern Rocketop, who will start just inside of Muscle Hill. Southern Rocketop raced against Muscle Hill in the American National and finished third after cutting the pace.
