World champion Muscle Mass topped the closing day of the Harrisburg Mixed sale with a $520,000 bid from Atlantic Trot Inc., agent. Earlier in the week the Muscle Mass colt's full brother topped the yearling portion of the sale with a $425,000 bid from trainer Jimmy Takter.
Undefeated in seven starts last year as a 2 year old, he won the Review Stakes at Springfield, Ill., in a world record 1:53.4 for freshman colt trotters over a mile track. This year he made only five starts, winning once.
