The 3-year-old trotting colt Muscle Mass won an overnight at the Meadowlands Friday night, using a second-over trip to score an easy 2 1/4-length victory in 1:54.3. Brian Sears handled the driving for trainer Erv Miller.
Muscle Mass, a son of Muscles Yankee out of Graceful Touch, finished ninth in his career debut on June 12 and was making just his second start of the season Friday night. Last year hte colt was undefeated in seven starts and took a 1:53.4 mark at Springfield.
Perretti Farms bred Muscle Mass and Perretti Racing Stable owns the colt in partnership with Plum Creek Farms.
