Muscles Yankee sis qualifies

Down Goes Debbie, a 2-year-old filly by Andover Hall and half sister to Muscles Yankee, highlighted a group of qualifiers at Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs with a 2:02.2 effort. Driven by Ray Schnittker for trainer Paul Doherty, Down Goes Debbie took command by the half and drew off by 13 1/2 lengths in the baby race. She came home in :29.4. The $170,000 yearling purchse is owned by Blue Chip Partners.

Among the pacers, Western Hanover colt Tivoli Hanover won by 1 1/4 lengths in 2:02.2. The $100,000 yearling is out of Breeders’ Filly Stake winner Tap Hanover and is trained by Chris Oakes for co-owners Susan Oakes and Richard Phillips.

Matchstick Man re-qualified with a 1:58.1 effort. He had made breaks in his last two New York Sire Stakes starts.

A Bluegrass division winner last year at two, the Conway Hall colt set his own pace, winning by 24 ¾ lengths. He is owned by Schnittker, Hero Stables and trainer Doherty.

Blissed Out turned in a blistering 1:52.4 mile for driver George Napolitano Jr. and trainer Carmine Fusco. The 5-year-old by Blissfull Hall won by 34 lengths. Ann Behrend owns the gelding, who owns a mark of 1:48.4 taken in a Simcoe Stakes win in 2004.
