Horse lovers from across the country are stampeding to join the National Rescue Ride on October 19, and among the Similar to a walkathon, the NRR will bring together thousands of riders and walkers across the country to make a difference. Rider/walker registration is already trotting along to make history for the first national equine effort to help Charities not yet registered can go to www.nationalrescueride.org and sign on as a participant and beneficiary. Riders and walkers should go to the site, register and choose the charity they want to support. They can find a ride in their area and help raise money by signing up sponsors to support their efforts.
In addition to receiving an NRR T-shirt riders/walkers are eligible for prizes for raising the most funds as individuals, or as a club. All funds raised will go directly to the registered organization they choose. Many charities are adding to the day with post-ride activities to thank their supporters and celebrate a great day.
