Native Bride, coming off a win in the $27,250 May Flowers late closer at Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs, has been supplemented for $15,000 into the 2008 James M. Lynch Memorial Pace, which gets underway Saturday, June 7, with elimination races. The Lynch has attracted 31 three-year-old pacing fillies that will be competing in three eliminations.

Native Bride drew post 7 in the third elim and will be looking for four straight wins at Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs. The win by Native Bride in the May Flowers final for 3- and 4-year-old pacing fillies and mares came with a clocking of 1:51.2 over a sloppy track.

Native Bride, owned by Jay Sears, of Osteen, Fla., and T.H. Stable LLC, Wall, NJ, also has a second-place finish at Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs in five starts this year.

Also in the third Lynch elimination division is Ideal Newton, who finished second in the May 31 Miss New Jersey at the Meadowlands with a time of 1:51.4. Noel Daley trains Ideal Newton, leaving from the five hole Saturday afternoon. Ron Pierce is scheduled to drive.

George Teague Jr. and Steve Elliott appear to have the two top fillies in the middle Lynch division. Mozzi Hanover, the Teague Jr. entry, will leave from the No. 1 post. This 3-year-old Jenna’s Beach Boy filly, has won five of six starts in 2008 with one second-place finish. The Elliott-trained Respectable, a 3-year-old Blissfull Hall filly, has a win and a second in three starts this season. The win was at Chester Downs with a time of 1:53.4.

Woman Rebels, trained by Paul Reid and driven by Jim Morrill Jr., will be favored to win the opening Lynch split. This Art Major filly has one win and a second in two starts in 2008, coming off a second in the $270,625 Empire Breeders Cup race with a time of 1:52.2 at Tioga Downs. Woman Rebels will leave from the five post.

Top three finishers in each division will move on to the Lynch finals the following week.  (Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs)
