Daniel Dube guided Alvin Jacobsen and Sidney Korn's Mystical Sunshine to the fastest trotting mile in the long history of Freehold Raceway on Friday. The 6-year-old, Chris Ryder-trained mare finished the mile in 1:54.3 in a $14,200 Open Handicap. The time surpassed the previous trotting record of 1:55.2, and eclipsed the older trotting mare record of 1:56.3 by two seconds. (Freehold)
