New Vocations seeking donations

Return Home
January 12, 2009 Send To A Friend  | Print View

New Vocations needs all kinds of items for its 11th annual Silent Auction held in conjunction with the Blooded Horse Sale February 9 and 10 in Delaware, Ohio. This Sale attracts buyers from 28 states and throughout Canada.

The crowd appreciates New Vocations' mission and is eager to buy, so all kinds of interesting, unique items are needed.  Just about anything equine related is appropriate, such as framed prints, wall hangings, centerpieces, and accessories.  Also, tack (pleasure or racing) sports memorabilia and tickets, veterinary services, entertainment cards, boxed gift items, jewelry, and crafts are all popular.

One vacation package is worth a lot of smaller items, so if anyone can donate a timeshare or a week in their vacation home, it would be greatly appreciated.

“If everybody who truly cares about the welfare of retired racehorses sent one item, we’d have a tremendous fundraiser,” said executive director Dot Morgan.

For more information contact Dot Morgan: (937) 947-4020 or dot@horseadoption.com.   Or simply send to New Vocations  3293 Wright Rd  Laura, OH 45337   Items need to be in the office by Feb. 5 or delivered to the Delaware County Fairgrounds by Feb. 9.  Items and services are tax deductible to the extent of the law. (New Vocations)
