One of the top free-for-all trotters has changed barns as trainer Ron Burke has begun preparing the 2010 Kentucky Futurity winner Wishing Stone for his 2013 campaign. Also, Illinois-based owner Dave Clinard traveled to the Meadowlands for the recent Tattersalls Mixed Sale and he made two big-ticket purchases. Loyal to racing in the Prairie State, Clinard has brought both pacers home and they will be in action over the weekend. There has also been a lot of debate in Indiana about the future of expanded gaming in the state, including the possible addition of table games at racetracks as well as the scenario that casino revenue no longer be earmarked for racing. And David Miller is off to a fast start at the Big M. The full stories about Burke's addition of Wishing Stone to his stable, Clinard's decision to forgo the bigger purses on the East Coast to instead enhance racing in Illinois, the Indiana situation, and Miller's burst out of the gate, can be read in the new Weekend Preview.
