Andrew Cohen attended the Night of Champions Awards dinner at Dover Downs Sunday night and in this week's Wire To Wire he discusses and applauds Meg Jewett Leavitt on her speech regarding horse slaughter following the presentation of the U.S. Harness Writers Association President's Award bestowed on her. Cohen notes that although there were likely many in attendance who did not want to hear Meg's passioniate plea against the slaughtering of horses, it was a message that needed to be heard.
