In this week's Wire To Wire column, Andrew Cohen praises the Matching Funds Grant program overseen by Jamie Rucker at the USTA, but on the other hand wonders why efforts like that aren't done on a wider scale across the industry. Cohen remembers the effort put forth by the old North American Harness Racing Marketing Association, but in today's racing world--despite an influx of money at racetracks which have slot machines--he questions why there isn't any apparent industry attempt to market or publicize the racing product, including by a racino itself.
