New yearling sale in Pennsylvania

A new yearling sale, the Breeders Select Sales Company, has been formed and will be held at Pocono Downs on Monday, Oct. 12, and consignments from Nandi Farms, Winbak Farm, Walnridge of PA, Vieux Carre Farm, Fox Den Farm and others have already been accepted. The new sale, which will be limited to 120 horses, will take place in the new race paddock at Pocono.
 
Sam Beegle, Earl Beal, and Tom Davis have teamed up to bring horsemen the new auction.
 
“We have been looking for the right place and the correct time to launch this sale so as to insure its complete success. We feel now is the absolute perfect time and that using Pocono Downs’ new paddock provides us with the perfect place to start this new venture,” said Beegle. “Never before has there been a more positive opportunity than the present day P.A. horse arena. It seems extremely prudent to take full advantage for both buyers and sellers.”
 
“We have already gathered yearlings from some of the most respected breeders in PA as well as the rest of the US,” added Earl Beal. “For our first sale, we could not have asked for better people to come forward with yearlings of such quality. They, too, see the opportunity that lies in front of us all. Everyone wants to be part of success. This will be a great event for both sellers and buyers.”
 

“With the assembled group of horses, the depth of the quality consignments from great farms, and one of the most experienced sale staff in the business, there is little doubt as to the success and excitement this sale will generate,” said Davis. “We look very forward to welcoming old friends as well as new friends to this new and exciting venue!”
