Nick Hans, an 18-year-old Maryland native, earned his first victory in the sulky at Rosecroft Raceway on Saturday evening, guiding Art Hearted through an impressive mile in 1:58.3.

Hans drove the four-year-old Artiscape horse off of the gate to sit through an opening quarter of :29.1 comfortably along the rail. Before hitting the half-mile marker, Hans tipped Art Hearted out second-over through fractions of :59.1 and 1:28.2. Art Hearted, trained and owned by Roger Hans, took the lead in the stretch to win by two lengths.

Tisza Hanover finished second after pacing first-over with trainer Alvin Lineweaver in the bike. Nights Wheeler , driven by Justin Brenneman, finished third. (Rosecroft Raceway)
