Striptease Hall won the first of two $12,500 divisions of the Tender Loving Care Series at the Meadowlands Wednesday night with a 1:53.4 effort for driver Brian Sears, while Art’s Lady Diana won the second split for driver Daniel Dube in 1:55.3.
Sears directed Striptease Hall through a two-hole trip, handing Southwind Tempo her first-ever loss by a head. Witch Trials finished a distant third.
Mickey Burke trains the Artiscape daughter Striptease Hall for owners Sylvia Burke, George Leon and Joann Koechlin.
Dube also gave Art’s Lady Diana the pocket trip, going on to win by 1 ¾ lengths over J Lo Hanover, with Amber Blue Chip third.
Also a daughter of Artiscape, Art’s Lady Diana is trained by Mark Silva, who co-owns with Munificent Mole Stable.
Up Front Jan-E-Lu won the first of three $16,000 divisions of the first round of the Night Styles Pacing Series in 1:53. Sears drove the winning daughter of Dragon Again for trainer Nat Varty and owner Ed Mullinax. Earlier this year Up Front Jan-E-Lu won the $50,000 White Ruffles final at the Big M.
The second division went to JM Dancing Star, who returned to New Jersey after a three-start stint at Yonkers. George Brennan got the call and he guided the daughter of Badlands Hanover to the 1:54.1 victory. Jody Dunning trains for owner Michael Mitchell.
The final Night Styles split went to Enhance The Night and driver Yannick Gingras in 1:53.1. Earlier this year the daughter of Western Ideal won the $47,300 Snow Angel final at the Meadowlands. Erv Miller trains the winner for owner Perfect World Enterprises.
