Funtime Filly made a break while taking the lead at the half, but recovered quickly, took the lead and went on to post a 3 3/4-length victory in 1:57.3 in one of five Ohio Sire Stakes divisions for 2-year-old filly pacers at Northfield Park Friday night. The evening’s 15-race card also included four divisions of the Sire Stakes for freshman filly trotters.

Funtime Filly, a homebred daughter of Stand Forever owned by FTF Inc. and trained by Ron Potter, was making her first official career start with Brett Miller in the bike. Previously she had two qualifying victories at Scioto Downs by eight and 10 lengths, respectively.

Other Sire Stakes winners in the filly pacer were: Miss Dreamboat (Sadies Dreamboat) in 1:58.1, It’s Ladies Nite (Towner’s Big Guy) in 1:58.2, Cee Cee Attack (On The Attack) in 1:59.2 and Evening Jet (Jet Laag) in 2:00.1.

Midnight Hooray and Jay Cross went wire to wire for a 2:01.3 victory by 3 1/2 lengths in the first of four Sire Stakes for filly trotters. The Chip Chip Hooray lass won for the second time in as many starts for owners Don Breeze and Patrick Sibler and trainer Joe Essig Jr.

Other division winners were Flying Rae (Pegasus Spur) in 2:04.1 and Miss Snippy Queen (Master Lavec) in 2:04.2.

The fourth division results were not reported.
