Sources tell harnessracing.com that the New Jersey Racing Commission conducted out-of-competition testing at the barn of Lou Pena at Gaitway Farm in Englishtown, NJ on Wednesday, June 2.
Blood was drawn from every horse that was in the barn at the time in consistency with New Jersey’s out-of-competition testing regulations.
The investigation is ongoing and the samples were forwarded to the NJ State Police Equine Laboratory for testing.
Pena is currently second in the national training standings.
