The New Jersey Sire Stakes will launch its 2007 pari-mutuel racing season at the Meadowlands on May 18 and 19 with the first of three preliminary rounds of competition for 3-year-old pacers concluding with $175,000 championship finals in June.
Sire Stakes competition for 3-year-old pacing fillies is slated to begin May 18, with the colts and geldings on the following night on May 19. New Jersey-sired 3-year-old trotters will begin competing on May 28 for colts and geldings and May 30 for fillies.
T TThere will be three preliminary rounds in each of the four NJSS 3-year-old divisions, followed
by championship finals. NJSS Pari-Mutuel division races for 2 year olds, with two preliminary rounds and $175,000 championships, will begin in June and conclude in July. (NJSS)
