Rocknroll Hanover, one of the favorites in the Breeders Crown 2-Year-Old Colt Pace, has been scratched. No reason was immediately known why the colt was scratched before he was taken to the detention barn at Woodbine Friday night.



The winner of the Metro Pace and the sport's first sub-1:50 two-year-old pacing colt, Rocknroll Hanover is trained by Brett P elling.



Mark Harder, the trainer of Beretta Hall, the first also eligible in the race, did not learn of the scratch in time to get his horse to the detention barn by the 11 p.m. deadline and thus will not move into the vacated starting position.
