As of late Monday night, Dec. 27, there was no contract between the Illinois Harness Horsemen's Association and Balmoral and Maywood Park. Contract negotiations between the IHHA and track management broke off Monday night without an agreement being signed for the year 2005, which is scheduled to start with this upcoming Saturday evening's card and with the draw on Tuesday. There will be an emergency horsemen's meeting Tuesday Dec. 28, at 2 p.m. to discuss the items that have not been agreed to.
