The $284,000 Graduate and $200,000 Arthur J. Cutler Memorial did not require elimination races, so all horses entered will advance to the finals on Saturday, May 17, at the Meadowlands.

Eleven of the sport’s top free-fo- all pacers will go postward in the Graduate final. The field is headed by Mr Feelgood, whose six wins this season include the finals of the Presidential at the Meadowlands and Isle of Capri at Pompano Park. Artistic Fella, the 2006 Meadowlands Pace champion, will try to turn the tables on Mr Feelgood after getting nipped at the wire by his foe in a $40,000 winners-over last week at the Meadowlands. Artistic Fella returned from a seven-month layoff to win an $85,000 Classic Series leg on April 7 at Dover. He was the 2007 Breeder Crown champion in the older pacing division.

The $284,000 Graduate finalists (in alphabetical order): Artist’s View, Artistic Fella, Forensic Z Tam, Mr Feelgood, Mypanmar, Southwind Lynx, Special Report, Spin Rate, Total Truth, Western Shore and Won The West.

The $200,000 Arthur J. Cutler Memorial marks the 2008 debut of veteran Corleone Kosmos, and two of last season’s top sophomore trotters, Arch Madness and Mythical Lindy.

Corleone Kosmos hit the board in 12 of 14 starts in 2007 and counted the Nat Ray Invitational among his six wins. Arch Madness won 10 of 21 races and $850,000 at three, but it was his defeat of Horse of the Year Donato Hanover in the Breeders Crown that resonated loudest.

The $200,000 Arthur J. Cutler Memorial finalists (in alphabetical order): Arch Madness, Corleone Kosmos, Green Day, Knight Of Intrigue, Landon, Mythical Lindy, Ripped, San Remo Kosmos, Up Front Ben.

Post positions for both races will be drawn on Tuesday, May 13; all horses must be entered to participate in the finals. The $67,500 first leg of the New Jersey Sire Stakes for 3-year-old colt pacers is also featured on the May 17 card. (Meadowlands)
