December 31, 2006 Send To A Friend  | Print View

Nuclear Breeze coasted to a 3 1/4-length victory, his seventh in a row, in the tenth race on Saturday night at the Meadowlands in 1:50.1.

It was the 4-year-old's fifth straight victory in the $35,000 winners-over class at the Meadowlands.

Pacific Renegade got up for second, and it was four and a quarter lengths to Hop Sing in third.

Nuclear Breeze was trained by Maryland-based Roger Hans. It was one of a quartet of winners on the night for driver Brian Sears [through the 12th of 14 races].

Owned by his breeder, Thomas Cooke of Rockville, Md., Nuclear Breeze now has 11 wins and two thirds in 16 starts this year and a career bankroll of $242,132.
