Following a second place-finish in the $750,000 Hambletonian Oaks six days ago, Emantee scored a 1:59.3 victory at Freehold Raceway Friday afternoon in one of three elimination heats for the Helen Smith Memorial Trot for 3-year-old New Jersey-sired fillies.

With George Brennan driving, the daughter of Banker Hall won a $10,000 elimination for trainer Trond Smedshammer and owners Goldstein, Shapiro and Goldberg.

KD Girl, a filly by Self Possessed, was driven by Jeff Gregory in the fastest clocking of the three elimination heats, a 1:58.4 victory for owner Wayne Harrington and trainer Greg Hoch. The third winner was Love On The Rocks, a daughter of Donerail, in 2:00.2 for trainer Chuck Sylvester and owners Sylvester and Goldman.

The three winners will head a field of eight in next week’s $90,000 final of the race established by the Standardbred Breeders and Owners Association of New Jersey as a companion to the $110,000 Charles I. Smith Memorial Trot for 3-year-old colts and geldings later in the Freehold meet. Smith was a founder of the New Jersey Sire Stakes Program. Helen Smith was his wife.

Also on the Freehold program were two Sire Stakes Green Acres divisions for 2-year-old pacing fillies and three Sire Stakes Green Acres divisions for 3-year-old pacing fillies, each with a $10,000 purse.

The 2-year-old winners were Kathy Blue Chip, a filly sired by Artsplace, and Life’s Jewel, a daughter of Life Sign, each clocked in 1:59.2.Winners of the 3-year-old divisions were White Hot Cards (Cam’s Card Shark) in 1:55.4, Four Starz Lights (Cam’s Card Shark) in 1:56.4, and Kronos Hanover (Western Ideal) in 1:57.
