At a meeting of the Ohio State Racing Commission Thursday, Northfield Park was granted permission to run 16 races on Mondays in 2005 with a first post time of 6:30 p.m. Also, Lebanon Raceway will not race in January, opening on Feb. 4 and continuing through June 11.



In May, Lebanon and Scioto Downs will race a "7-and-10" schedule, similar to the "7-and-7" Thoroughbred rotating schedule used by Thistledown, Beulah Park and River Downs. On those shared race nights, Lebanon will race seven races and Scioto Downs will race 10 races during the month.



Also, driver David Ward has been suspended for life by the commission after testing positive for cocaine during Little Brown Jug week in September.



Commission chairman Scott Borgemenke announced his resignation during the meeting, but in a final action, stated that anyone desiring a 2005 commission pass to any Ohio track can receive up to four by sending a self-addressed, stamped envelope to the commission.
