Yonkers Raceway's Friday night fare included One Nineteen capturing the Open Handicap Trot in 1:57.2, J K Pure Pearl taking the Filly and Mare Open Handicap Pace in 1:55.3 and six divisions of the Petticoat Series second leg.
With Stephane Bouchard driving for trainer Larry Remmen, One Nineteen, leaving from post position two, retook from More Fire (Jeff Grregory) just after a :28.4 opening quarter mile. He maintained the advantage at the :57.4 intermission and the 1:27.4 three quarters, having dismissed a first-over Winnin' Image (Greg Grismore).
One Nineteen wasn't threatened thereafter, taking a length-and-a-half lead into tbe lane and hitting the wire 1 3/4 lengths faster than More Fire in 1:57.2. Tasty Max (Jim Meittinis), Kaline (Steve Smith) and Drill Sergeant Sam (Jim Marshall III) completed the cashers.

J K Pure Pearl, a pocket winner in last week's Filly and Mare Open Handicap Pace, went the distance this night. With Jason Bartlett again doing the honors, J K Pure Pearl--leaving from post position six--stepped around Benear (Gregory) and led through early fractsions of :28.4 and :58.2. Best Chance Hanna (Pat Lachance) tried his fortune first-up as the 3-2 favorite, but J K Pure Pearl retained the big chair at the 1:27.1 three quarters. The leader hung tough, holding off a pylon-diving Benear by a neck in 1:55.3...a tick faster than her effort last Friday. Best Chance Hanna crossed the line third, but was set down after bothering Meadows invader Jan's Luck (Grismore) in mid-stretch. That one drifted into Peine Bubbles (Jim Pantaleano), who subsequently broke. Jan's Luck, Sherri on Ice (Bouchard) and Reconquete (Berry) were placed third, fourth and fifth, respectively. For J K Pure Pearl, a 4-year-old daughter of Bettor's Delight, she returned $19 (fourth choice--a bit less than the nearly 13-1 last Friday)--for her fourth win in five seasonal starts.
