The 2-year-old pacing filly Bettoronthebeach was the only early scratch for the $1.2 million New York Night of Champions at Saratoga Gaming and Raceway. The filly was declared sick and unable to race on Saturday, Sept. 16, allowing the first also eligible, Bet Your Booty, to move into post five of the $150,000 final.

Bettoronthebeach finished first or second in all of her six starts this season, all in the New York Sire Stakes, for the Bettoronthebeach Stable and trainer Chris Ryder. The daughter of Bettor's Delight has earned $85,055 so far in 2006.

Bet Your Booty won a division of the Sire Stakes at Batavia on Aug. 30 and finished third in two other legs, her only three starts of the season. The Bettor's Delight filly is owned by Aaron Waxman's Uncirculated Stable and races for trainer Duane Marfisi. She has earned $32,299 this year.

The New York Night of Champions features the eight $150,000 New York Sire Stakes finals for each age, sex and gait. Post time for the 14-race card is 7:20 p.m. Total purses for the evening total $1.3 million, the richest program in the 66-year history of the raceway. Long-sleeve T-shirts will be given away to the first 4,000 fans that purchase a racing program. For more information call Saratoga Gaming and Raceway at 518-584-2110.
