Oosting ties Balmoral record with seven driving wins Saturday

Veteran reinsman Mike Oosting, who currently enjoys a commanding lead in the driver standings at Balmoral Park, put his name into the track’s record books on Satuday night by guiding home seven winners on the card. That mark tied the previous record which had been set back on Sept. 26, 1998 by Tony Morgan.

 

The Beecher, Ill., resident kicked off his parade of winners in the second race behind You Rock in 1:51.2. From there he proceeded to take the fifth race with longshot Barchetta N (1:51.1), the sixth race with Alias Smitty (1:52.1), race eight with Officer Joe (1:51.3) and race 10 with Sailors Sky (1:53.0). Oosting then closed out the night with back to back wins in the 13th & 14th behind Richnwandaful (1:54.2) and Highland Pride (1:54.3) to equal the record. (Balmoral Park)
