Ouellette to drive Enough Talk in Elitlopp

Owner-trainer Peter Kleinhans told harnessracing.com Thursday afternoon that Luc Ouellette has agreed to make the trip to Sweden to drive Kleinhans’ Enough Talk in the prestigious Elitlopp at Solvalla Racetrack Sunday, May 25.

“It was hard time finding one of my regular drivers to go because they all have engagements,” explained Kleinhans. “(Luc) seems excited about it.”

Kleinhans said Enough Talk, who has won four of nine starts this year including a world-record 1:52..2 effort in the opening round of the Classic Series April 7 at Dover Downs, arrived in Amsterdam early Thursday morning after an overseas flight that also had as a passenger fellow world-champion trotting mare Giant Diablo, who will also start in the Elitlopp.

“He’s on the truck today going from Amsterdam somewhere halfway to Stockholm and then tomorrow he’ll go the rest of the way,” said Kleinhans of the gelding he purchased in early March for $250,000. “He’ll get there sometime late tomorrow night or early Saturday morning, and I’ll be arriving there Saturday morning.”

Kleinhans said his traveling entourage to Sweden will include his mother, his friend Anthony, who made the arrangements to buy the 5-year-old son of Enjoy Lavec, and a couple friends from high school.

“My main goal is to make it into the final,” said Kleinhans. “However he does in the final will be great, but I just hope he makes it into it.”
