Pacific Philly, after five seconds this season, broke into the win column in the top distaff event of the week the $32,000 Open, while Apache Dame won the $25,000 Jr. Open and First Draw, a $21,000 female pace at Dover Downs on Tuesday, March 10. Tim Tetrick drove five winners; Ross Wolfenden won three.

Eddie Davis Jr. drove Pacific Philly along the passing lane to a 1:52.3 victory in the $32,000 Mares Open/Handicap notching her first 2009 win. Still Electric and Tim Tetrick closed from far back to finish second only a neck back. Chloes Silver Start led early with Eric Goodell and finished third.  Owned by Bob Messick who bred the Pacific Fella-Raani Hanover 6-year-old, Pacific Philly has now won $58,700 this season and $695,929 lifetime.

Early season standout Apache Dame returned to winning form in the $25,000 Mares Jr. Open pace giving owners Pal and WJ McDougall and trainer Pete Tritton a double for the day. For the third straight day, Ross Wolfenden had a driving triple. The win was the fourth of the year and fifth of the meet for Apache Dame, an 8-year-old Apaches Fame-Amerissa mare.  Mozzi Hanover and Jim Morand set the early fractions and finished second with Autumn Magic driven by Tony Morgan third. Apache Dame now has banked $55,740 this year and $335,310 in her career.

Ron Mersky's First Draw won her first start of the season as Vic Kirby piloted the Bobby Myers-trained Art Major-Western Duel 4-year-old from far back flying by for a 1:54.4 triumph in the $21,000 Mares pace. Shady Sabrina was second for Tim Tetrick in a photo nipping Lucy Thundercloud and Corey Callahan.

Tim Tetrick pulled Alain Durivage's Im Betting On You off the rail and sped three-wide to overtake leader Roxie Lee N (Wolfenden) and third finisher Bonnie's Beach (Corey Callahan) in the final strides to win the  $17,500 distaff pace in 1:54.  After three seconds and a third in her first six starts this season, the Bettor's Delight-Im Yours 4-year-old trained by Scott Gregoire, posted her first win of the year. It was win number three for Tetrick.

In a $16,000 3,4&5-Year-Old Filly and Mare pace, Tetrick took Dynamic Dream to the outside in mid stretch and exploded past the front three to score a lifetime best 1:52.3 victory for Adam Knicley, Mike and Jordan Michael. The win is the fourth in five starts this year for the Dream Away-Instamattic 4-year-old. Roses And Olives (Brandon Givens) was runner-up. Emerald Sky (Wolfenden) finished third.

Nidya A gave Ross Wolfenden his second of three winners as the Albert Albert-Nukelyn 8-year-old showed her class besting Madges Lil Fortune (Tetrick) in a stretch duel to the wire in 1:54.1 to win a 14,000 Mares pace. Owned by Paul and WJ McDougall racings, it was Nidya A's second win of 2009. Yankee Pica was third.

Tetrick racked up his fifth win steering Good Feelings home to an easy 1:56.1 in the $14,000 conditioned trot. Howard and Josh Kaufman own the Fill V-Feel Good F gelding.  Fivedollarsforsox (George Dennis) was the second horse. Kennywood (Morand) took third. (Dover)
