The streak is now at 20 races for Panaramic Art, who picked up his 20th straight victory and third stakes trophy in the $75,700 Exit 16W on Saturday night at the Meadowlands. He also turned in an astounding stakes-record time of 1:49.4 on the cold night when the track was listed as "good.".
Panaramic Art, driven by George Brennan, followed Captain Cambest to the lead and opened up entering the stretch. He dug in under urging for a length tally over Captain Cambest. Sent off the 2-5 favorite, he paid $2.20 to win the tenth race, one of three winter series finals on the Meadowlands card. Panaramic Art is now nine-for-nine at the Meadowlands, where he won the $83,700 Clyde Hirt and $60,000 Oil Burner finals earlier this winter.
In what has proven to be a shrewd investment, the partnership of Squawk Box Stable and Keep The Dream Going Inc. purchased Panaramic Art from breeder Roger Roland of Grinnell, Iowa, for $60,000 on Oct. 5, 2007. The son of Hot Pans out of a Presidential Ball mare, Panaramic Art has already earned more than triple the $60,000 they paid for him racing in the barn of Al Meyer. The gelding's streak began July 15, 2007, and has taken him to the winner's circle of six different mid-west fair tracks, Yonkers and the Meadowlands.
Panaramic Art has now won 32 of 38 career starts and $231,693. (Meadowlands).
