Paradusho N earned a strong 1:56.3 win in the $6,000 featured pace for fillies and mares at Rosecroft Raceway on Saturday, after getting a perfect pocket trip along the rail.

The 10-year-old veteran mare by Road Machine left alertly off of the gate from post seven with Frank Milby at her lines She paced through well-rated fractions of :27.3, :58.4, and 1:27.4. Milby asked more of the mare at the top of the stretch and guided her home through a final quarter of :28.3 to win her first of the season.

The mare, co-owned by Alvin Mindel and trainer George Bartlett, was recently competing at the Meadowlands in mid-level claiming classes, with some success.

Drivin’ Miss Rudee finished second with Donnie Russell in the sulky. After dropping down in class from the Open Handicap at Dover Downs the 5-year-old Walton Hanover mare dominated the early fractions of the mile, only to miss by a neck at the wire. Drivin’ Miss Rudee is co-owned by William Camp, Jr. and trainer John Sumner.

Third in the $236.20 Trifecta were Gorgeous Lover and driver John Wagner. The 6-year-old Real Artist mare, owned by Heather Ronay, paced second-over to swiftly close in :28.1. Manley Brown, Jr. trains the mare.

Driver Frank Milby bagged four wins on Saturday evening. He started his successful night early on, in race two, with Matts Millenium. The 4-year-old Matt’s Scooter gelding, owned by Irwin Samelman, paced wire-to-wire to earn a new lifetime mark of 1:56.3.

In the fifth race, Milby guided his own Galleons Joy N to the winner’s circle, through a front-end trip. The 8-year-old Albert Albert mare captured a victory in 1:59.1 as the betting favorite.

GH Shady Lady gave Milby a win in the eighth race. The 5-year-old Shady Character mare, owned and trained by Basil Sapienza, gained the lead early in the race to win one-half length, in 1:56.2.

Milby closed his winning night in the featured race, with Paradusho N. (Rosecroft)
