Atochia, a Dragon Again colt who Peter Kleinhans sold to clients of the Mickey Burke Stable just a few starts back, pulled off a 10-1 upset in 1:50.2 in the $175,000 Pennsylvania Sire Stakes for 3-year-old pacing colts Sunday afternoon at Harrah's Chester.
Yannick Gingras drove Atochia to the score over the pacesetting Lonestar Legend.
All four of the PASS championships for 3 year olds were held on the Harrah's Chester Sunday card.
Classic Lane, a daughter of Lindy Lane, took the trotting filly championship in 1:55.4. David Miller drove the winner for Hatfield Stable and trainer Pete Foley. Poster Pin Up finished second.
The trotting colt championship went to In Focus, who was a gate-to-wire winner in 1:54.3 for driver Dave Palone and trainer Jimmy Takter.
The pacing filly final was won by Native Bride, who turned in a powerful 5 1/4-length score in 1:50.4. Respectable finished second. Brian Sears drove Native Bride, a daughter of Allamerican Native, for his father, who owns the filly in partnership with TH Stable LLC. Joe Pavia Jr. trains the filly for Sears.
