Pilgrims Witchie, a daughter of The Panderosa, paced to her fourth straight victory, scoring in 1:52 in Pennsylvania Sire Stakes action at Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs Friday afternoon.

With Dave Palone driving, Pilgrims Witchie was caught outside in the first quarter but cleared to the lead as the first fraction flashed :26.4. Xhilaration, driven by Tony Hall, challenged Pilgrims Witchie for the last three-eighths, but the 1-9 pacesetter hung tough. Pilgrims Witchie easily won for trainer Abe Stoltzfus and owners Rodney and Edward Andrews of Maine.

Sunshine State rallied up the rail for second while Xhilaration held for third.

Among the other divisional winners was Riley Rose, who powered to a 1:52.4 score while racing on the front end for driver Sean Bier. The Real Artist filly posted her fifth victory of the season for owner Ester Bier. Carousel Frame took second while Bijou Hall endured a first-over trip but held on for third.

The third division was won by Talia’s Character, who rallied three wide on the final turn and zipped home for a 1:53.1 score, her fifth of the season as well. Wade Ross drove the Shady Character filly for trainer Clifford Cooper Jr. and owner Fish Coop Inc.
