Horsemen are reminded to be aware of the draw schedule for Pennsylvania’s Sire Stakes Championships and Consolations and Stallion Series Championships, with $2,320,000 at stake over the extended Labor Day weekend.
The Meadows will host the 3YO Sire Stakes Championships ($200,000 each) and Consolations ($50,000 each, after a boost from the horsemen), making it a “Million Dollar Sire Stakes Day” on Saturday, Sept. 4. This card will be drawn on Tuesday, Aug. 31.
The Sire Stakes 2YOs will chase the same $1 million bounty at Harrah’s Chester the next day, Sunday, Sept. 5. These races will be drawn on Wednesday, Sept. 1.
Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs will host both sets of Stallion Series Championships, worth $40,000 each. The 3YOs will go Friday, Sept. 3, and be drawn Tuesday, Aug. 31, while the 2YOs will race on Tuesday, Sept. 7, after a draw on Thursday, Sept. 2.
