Hidden Viggorish, leaving from post position one, grabbed the early lead and didn’t let anyone take it away from her in a career-best 1:56.1 in the $29,595 third division of the Pennsylvania Sire Stakes for 3-year-old filly trotters at Pocono Downs Friday afternoon.

Trainer Bill Zendt was in the bike for Harmony Oaks Stable as the daughter of SJ’s Caviar cut fractions of :28, :58 and 1:27.2 en route to a 4 1/2-length triumph. It was her third win in five starts this year.

Gyration Hanover, who had two Sire Stakes victories to her credit this year, including an 8 3/4-length thumping of Hidden Viggorish in their last outing, broke stride at the half and finished last in the six-horse field.

In the first division Tucson Yankee, a Lindy Lane filly making her season debut for trainer-driver Jan Johnson, scored in 1:58.1 by three-quarters of a length over Bye Bye Kerry and Mike Simons. Adelaide Skoglund and Arden Homestead Stable are the owners.

Freeze Frame was a head winner over Kosmopolitan and Doug Snyder in the 1:58.4 second division. It was the second straight Sire Stakes win for the SJ’s Photo lass. Bill Fahy drove and trains for his wife, Moira, and Joseph Yurigan.
