The Pennsylvania Harness Horsemen's Association (PHHA) has hired Edward Kobesky to serve as its own Director of Media & Marketing, a position that has been created to "create and administer new channels of communication between the PHHA and its members..." and "expand public awareness of harness racing and grow the sport's fan base."
Kobesky began his career with Pocono Downs in 1995. Since then he has worked for Midway Slots and Harrington Raceway, Valley View Casino in California, Bullwhackers Casino and Hyatt Black Hawk in Colorado, and various other entities.
"As the PHHA's membership grows and our organization expands geographically, we recognize the importance of uniting our members by employing a wide range of communication vehicles," said PHHA president Earl Beal Jr. "Ed's unique experience with both racetracks and casino properties gives him a unique insight into the current state of the industry."
