Perfect Sport set soft fractions and coasted wire to wire to take the first division of the $16,000 Night Styles Pace at the Meadowlands Thursday night, with Teenage Paige capturing the second split.

With driver Brian Sears in tow, Perfect Sport ($7.80) dug in gamely down the stretch, keeping the lead from the late rallies of Get That Cheese and Mystra in 1:53.4. Get That Cheese finished 1 1/4 lengths back for second and Mystra was third.

Perfect Sport is now two for five in 2009 for trainer Joe Anderson. The daughter of Sportsmaster-Perfect Viking has increased her career earnings to more than $40,000 for owner Gerrie Tucker.

In the second division of the Night Styles, Teenage Paige ($4.80) and driver Tim Tetrick grinded first-over to the lead at the top of the stretch and held on for the win in 1:52.2. Stacked Deck was second and Temptress El finished third.

Teenage Paige is four for five in 2009 for trainer Eric Ell and has boosted her lifetime earnings to more than $50,000 for owner’s Ken Wood, William Dittmare, and Stephen  Iaquinta.

The Night Styles series continues next week with a $50,000 final on Thursday, March 12.
