The Standardbred Horse Sales Company’s annual mixed auction got underway in Harrisburg, Pa., Thursday morning, and Perretti Farms was a big buyer, bidding six-figure prices to purchase three notable broodmares for a total of $635,000.

Perretti’s purchases included:

Lovely Shark (hip number 1235), a Cam’s Card Shark daughter who has already produced Art’s Temptress, a stakes winner at both ages two and three. Perretti bid $230,000 for the 5-year-old mare who was sold as part of the Yankeeland Farms dispersal.

Ucallthisahoneymoon (hip number 1341), by Yankee Glide, cost Perretti $230,000. The 4-year-old mare is a full sister to Kentucky Filly Futurity champion Falls For You. Consigned by Northwood Bloodstock Agency, Ucallthisahoneymoon was sold in foal to Andover Hall.

Fairy Tail (hip number 1408), was bought by Perretti with a bid of $175,000. The 5-year-old mare is by Muscles Yankee and out of Victorious Tail, a stakes winner who has already produced Chasing Tail, Kick Tail and Day For Night. Northwood Bloodstock sold the mare on behalf of Al Libfeld.

Other expensive acquisitions in the opening mixed session included For The Luva Moni (hip 1349), who brought a bid of $210,000 from Diamond Creek Farm. Consigned by Peninsula Farm on behalf of Lee and Linda DeVisser, the mare sports a mark of 1:54.4 as a 3 year old and was sold in foal to Andover Hall.
