P Glide a perfect 10

Passionate Glide is now a perfect 10 for 10 this year after a 1:55 victory in the first of three Bluegrass divisions for 3-year-old filly trotters Friday afternoon at The Red Mile. With Ron Pierce in the sulky, Passionate Glide stepped away from her rivals down the stretch to win by a widening 7 3/4 lengths in 1:55 flat. Gastine finished second despite a knee boot that landed on her right front hoof at the half that caused an extra step or two, with Stardust third.

Passionate Glide appears fully recovered from a hamstring injury that she battled a couple of months ago, including while she was winning the Hambletonian Oaks at the Meadowlands Aug. 5. Trained by Jimmy Takter for breeder-owner Brittany Farms, the daughter of Yankee Glide has career earnings of more than $1.5 million with her winner's share of the $99,300 purse.

The second $99,300 division went to Workout Doll and driver George Brennan in 1:55.2. Finishing second and third, respectively, behind the 10-1 outsider were Muscle Up and Keystone Gratitude.

Chuck Sylvester trains the winner for owners Peninsula Farm, John Fielding, Irv Liverman and Lee and Linda DeVisser. The win was her career best.

The final $100,300 split went to Susie's Magic, with her task made much easier by the break by favored Four Starz Lindy in the final turn. Driven by David Miller, Susie's Magic drew clear down the stretch to win in 1:55.3, with Buck I St. Pat second and Klipspringer third.

The DeVissers share ownership of the Dream Vacation filly with Jones and Atkins. The win was a career best for the Bob Stewart trainee.
