The Pennsylvania Harness Horsemen’s Association has announced that the PA HarnessWeek TV show’s season has been extended due to a substantial increase in its audience size.
Originally set to end in September, new episodes of PA HarnessWeek will continue airing on Comcast SportsNet Philadelphia every Saturday through Nov. 28 at a new time, 10:30 am. Fans outside of the viewing area can watch the show at the completely redesigned HarnessWeek.com website, which now offers streaming video of the current episode as well as links to past episodes in the show’s YouTube library. Other improvements include weekly contests and constantly updated harness racing news from around.
“We’ve doubled our overall rating compared with 2008, and tripled viewers in the 25-54 age bracket,” said Mr. Beal. “PA HarnessWeek’s audience size is now on par with, and in some cases exceeds, that of some competing news and sports programming. Audience demand is clearly there, so we’re going to keep the momentum going into the fall.”
