Pick 6 carryover at Big M

Two big longshots lit up the toteboard on Thursday night at the Meadowlands, fueling a $15,029.40 carryover for the Friday night Pick 6. The Meadowlands Pick 6 is a $1 minimum wager with a 20 percent takeout.

lthough four winning favorites were part of the Pick 6 sequence, including two horses at less than even money, no one selected six winners. A 31-1 shot piloted by Mike Lachance in race four and a 48-1 shot driven by Dan Dube in race eight led to the carryover.

There was only one winning $1 ticket with five of six winners, good for a $653.70 consolation payout.

The Friday night Pick 6 covers races four through nine and includes the featured $85,000 Clyde Hirt Stakes Final in race five. Trainer Erv Miller sends out a powerful three-horse entry listed at even money on the morning line. (Meadowlands press release)
