Despite being out of action for four weeks, Miracle Believer ($5.20) picked up right where he left off in April, in the winner’s circle at the isle pompano park. The seven-year-old gelding, driven by Dan Clements posted his second straight win with a sizzling 1:51.3 triumph Saturday in the $12,000 featured pace. The 5th race saw Miracle Believer grind it out early against Pan Prix (Tom Sells) to take command of the race at the opening quarter mile in a speedy :26.3. One settled on the lead, Miracle Believer led the field past the half mile pole in :55.2 before I’m In Luck and driver Bruce Ranger started up first-over in the backstretch with Flight Of Glory (Andy Santaramo) following the outside cover. Past the three-quarter mile marker in 1:23.1, Clements still had some fuel in the tank as Miracle Believer held the field at bay as they came down the stretch and won with ease by two and one-quarter lengths. Flight Of Glory came on for second place with Murcielago (Wally Hennessey) third. It was the fourth win this year for Miracle Believer. Trained by Bill Gallagher, the son of Arturo is owned by the Wize Advisors LLC of Palm Beach Gardens. Harness driver Bruce Ranger, the isle pompano park’s all time winningest reinsman, had the hot hands Saturday, winning six of the ten races on the program. (Pompano)
