For the first time in track history, Pompano Park will feature simulcasting of greyhound racing starting Wednesday. The track will offer greyhound racing seven days a week with afternoon and evening simulcasts from Mardi Gras Race Track and Flagler Race Track.
On the track, Battleshoe Victor, trying for his second straight win, is the lone return winner Wednesday in the $10,000 featured third-race trot.
Last week the 6-year-old gelded son of Valley Victory was able to lead from start to finish with an easy three-length triumph in 1:56.2 for the Tom Harmer Stable. Battleshoe Victor starts from post five for driver David Ingraham and is the 3-1 second choice in the race.
The 5-2 race favorite is Gale Warning from post six for driver Wally Hennessey. Also entered are recent winners Indian Hill Rocket (post 7), Guy Gets Girl (post 4) and Kid Conway (post 1). Completing the field are Classical Man (post 2) and Table Wine (post 3). (Pompano Park)
