Possess The Magic is the 9-5 morning line choice in Saturday’s $750,000 Hambletonian Oaks for 3-year-old filly trotters at the Meadowlands, with trainer Ron Gurfein choosing post two at the press conference/draw Tuesday afternoon. Gurfein, who has won three Hambletonians, is aiming for his first-ever Oaks title with the world-champion filly.

Gurfein earned the right to pick the post after Possess The Magic won her Oaks elim, and trainer Trond Smedshammer—also looking toward winning his first Oaks final after finishing second the past three years—had the same privilege for elim winner Falls For You. Smedshammer selected post three, with Falls For You installed as the 5-2 second choice.
