October 20, 2006 Send To A Friend  | Print View

Pampered Princess had no trouble keeping her perfect record in tact, as she scored a one-length victory over Possess The Magic in 1:56.3 in the second $25,000 Breeders Crown 2-yearl-old filly trot elimination. In the first split, Adelaide Hall scored her first victory of the year with a wire-to-wire victory in 1:57.4.

John Campbell sat third with the undefeated Pampered Princess while Possess The Magic (Mike Lachance) and Sheer Soul ( David Miller) swapped leads to the half in :58.4. Possess The Magic was on the lead entering the final turn when Campbell pulled his Andover Hall filly and she quickly moved up the leader at the 1:28.3 three-quarter pole. In the lane Pampered Princes trotted right into the lead and then cruised to the wire. Falls For You and Brian Sears were third. Also qualifying for next week's final were Sheer Soul and Constance Hall.

The father-son team of Bob and David Anderson own the nine-time winner who is trained by Jimmy Takter.

Adelaide Hall came into the night’s opening event with three second-place finishes and two third-place results in seven starts, but with Jack Moiseyev in the bike the Conway Hall lass led at every call, holding off Celebrity Speedie and Pierce by a neck. Matriarch and Rick Zeron were third, followed by Wishful Me and CCs Caseys Dream.

The winner is owned by Jon Magnusson’s ACL Farm and trained by his daughter, Anette Lorentzon.

The field, in post-position order for next Saturday night's final, with the winners picking their post positions: Matriarch, Pampered Princess, Adelaide Hall, Possess The Magic, Falls For You, CCs Caseys Dream, Sheer Soul, Celebrity Speedie, Constance Hall and Wishful Me.
