Prism K equals track mark at The Meadows

May 13, 2009 Send To A Friend  | Print View

Prism K not only thwarted the determined bid of Primo Spur in the $25,000 Preferred Trot on Tuesday at The Meadows, but he also equaled the track record of 1:53.4 in the process.

With Prism K on the lead throughout, Primo Spur drew even before the three-quarter pole and turned the race into a two-horse duel. Prism K and Tony Hall were up to the challenge, holding off Primo Spur by a neck while Oatmeister was a closing third.

Prism K now shares the track record for older geldings with Lolique, who trotted his record mile earlier this year.

Steve Bush trains Prism K, a 6-year-old son of Dream Vacation-La Lupa, and owns with James and Mark Zallenick. (The Meadows)
