Prism K hustled to the lead from post seven and didn't look back until he equaled the track record for older geldings in the $25,000 Preferred Trot on Tuesday at The Meadows. The mile of 1:54.2 tied the mark set by Sweet Deal Hanover and Bill Zendt in 2005. Prism K had won two of his past four races in front-end fashion, so it was no surprise that Dave Palone wanted the lead with the 5-year-old son of Dream Vacation-La Lupa. What was surprising was how easily Prism K dismissed all challengers. He cruised home three-quarters of a length better than Pembroke Prayer while Oatmeister shot the pylons for third. Steve Bush trains Prism K and owns with James and Mark Zallenick. It was one of five wins on the 15-race card for Palone. (The Meadows)
