As the luck of the draw had it, Rocknroll Hanover, the sport's leading money-winning horse this season, and Village Jolt, last season's top freshman pacer, drew posts one and two, respectively, and race as a Jeff Snyder-owned, Brett Pelling trained entry, in the $394,120 Progress Pace on Sunday night at Dover Downs.



Village Jolt, with driver Ron Pierce, scored a stunning 1:50.4 career fastest win for owners Snyder and Arlene and Jules Siegel. His entrymate was not as successful. Rocknroll Hanover saw a three-race win streak come to an end with a third-place finish in the other elim. Rocknroll Hanover has banked $1,834,727 for owners Snyder and Lothlorien Equestrian Center.
