Moving Pictures and Pure Ivory proved to be the most convincing of winners Saturday night at Woodbine, as the pair of 3-year-old fillies notched wins in their divisions of the rich Standardbred Breeders of Ontario Association (SBOA) stakes.

Moving Pictures added to her late-season roll in the $205,850(C) Pace, passing WEG Award winner In Trepid Water along the backstretch before tallying a gritty, four-length win clocked in 1:53.2.

Reinsman Mark MacDonald sent Moving Pictures past In Trepid Water with a first-over rush from third after Rick Zeron and the Intrepid Seelster lass cut the opening quarter in :26.4. From there, Moving Pictures clicked the half in 55 seconds flat and tripped the three-quarters timer in 1:23.2.

With the rest of the 12-horse field attempting to close in the stretch, MacDonald stayed the course with Moving Pictures ($3.30), as the daughter of DM Dilinger came home with a 30-second final quarter to seal the deal.

Fancy A Dream and driver Mario Baillargeon rounded out the exactor, while In Trepid Water and Zeron finished five lengths in arrears of Moving Pictures, settling to complete the triactor.

Beechwood Duchess (driven by Steve Condren) and Windsun Countess (Paul MacDonell) pick up the final checks.

Conditioned by Casie Coleman for Steve Calhoun and Michael Lindley, Moving Pictures now has six wins and 15 on-the-board finishes from 25 starts this season. It was the eighth career score for Moving Pictures, who has a seasonal and overall bankroll which reads $335,947(C) and $345,916(C), respectively.

With her co-owning pilot Steve Condren at the helm, two-time WEG Award winner Pure Ivory's biggest obstacle in the $165,975(C) Trot came in the opening quarter, where the duo left from post six in the seven-horse field and were parked on the lead to the first marker, which they tripped in a snappy :26.3.

From there, Condren and the millionaire daughter of Striking Sahbra got a :29.4 second quarter and a leisurely 31-second third panel. Without breaking a sweat, Pure Ivory ($2.70) then pranced home with a :28.2 final quarter mile to wire up her rivals in 1:55.4.

Oaklea Omega and driver MacDonell sat third throughout the mile and closed relatively well, finishing 3¼ lengths back in second. Porsche Hall, with trainer-driver Terry Kerr in the bike, took a two-hole trip for the duration of the mile and finished 7½ lengths back in third.

Meadowview Tiffy (driven by Trevor Ritchie) and Geisha Hall (MacDonald) picked up the final cheques.

The winner's share of the Trot purse pushed Pure Ivory's seasonal and overall bankrolls to $914,894(C) and $1,380,698(C), respectively.

Trained by Brad Maxwell for Condren, Christina Maxwell, Jerry Vanboekel and breeder Harry Rutherford, Pure Ivory notched the 22nd win of her 33-race career. (WEG)
