Heavily-favored Put On A Show won the first of two $25,000 eliminations for the Mistletoe Shalee for 3-year-old filly pacers, while Seriously posted a mild upset in the second split. Put On A Show, sent off the 1-9 bettors' choice, crossed the wire first in 1:50, with Seriously scoring in 1:50.1.

Tim Tetrick was in the sulky behind Put On A Show as she held off a late-closing Dancinwiththestarz by one length. Higher And Higher finished third, with Best Boss and Wenditions also advancing to the rich final on Saturday afternoon, Aug. 7.

A daughter of Rocknroll Hanover, Put On A Show is trained by Chris Ryder for owners Craig Henderson and Richard and Joanne Young. The win was her seventh of the year in eight starts and 14th in 17 career attempts.

Seriously, who was coming off a third-place finish behind Put On A Show in a Tarport Hap division July 24 at the Big M, won for the fourth time in nine starts this year for driver Jody Jamieson, trainer Tony O'Sullivan and Ohio-based breeder-owner Emerald Highlands farm. She is also a daughter of Rocknroll Hanover.

Finishing second was A And Gs Princess, with Cannae Cammie third. Rock N Soul and Western Moonlight also advance to the final.

In the $40,000 Lady Liberty elimination, Dreamfair Eternal rallied from sixth at the three-quarters with a final quarter of :25.4 to win in 1:50.1. The 6-year-old daughter of Camluck was driven by the Ontario-based Randy Waples, who was making his first Big M drive in several years.

Ginger And Fred finished second behind Dreamfair Eternal, with On The Glass third.

Trained by Pat Fletcher for owner John Lamers, Dreamfair Eternal won for the ninth time in 12 starts this year. With her second-place finish in the recent $364,720 Roses Are Red final, Dreamfair Eternal surpassed the $1-million mark in career earnings.
